Disclaimer for Services and Products

There are several ways you can work with us through our website. The terms and conditions in this document apply to all services and products unless otherwise stated.

We offer:

  • Clinical Nutrition Consultations: One-on-one consultations with an accredited Clinical Nutritionist in a private or secure online environment.

  • Clinical Mentoring: Available to junior Clinical Nutritionists who hold a Bachelor of Health Science or are enrolled in a tertiary degree.

  • Physical and digital products from our online store

Our intention in offering these services and products is:

  • Clinical Nutrition Consultations: These sessions allow you to discuss your health concerns, from disease prevention and health promotion to addressing symptoms you haven't been able to manage alone, or seeking nutritional remedies for diagnosed conditions.

  • Clinical Mentoring: This service is exclusively for junior Clinical Nutritionists with a Bachelor of Health Science in Clinical Nutrition. It is not available to the general public.

  • Digital Products: These guides and e-books provide educational information on general health and wellbeing. They are not a substitute for medical advice.

  • Physical Products: These retail supplements aim to improve health and should not replace a balanced diet or medical advice.

Qualifications and Responsibility

Amanda Thorn holds a Bachelor of Health Science (Clinical Nutrition) and a Diploma of Functional Nutritional Therapy. She has experience in compounding and training as a Functional Supplement Specialist. Additionally, she brings over 25 years of experience as a group fitness instructor, teaching both freelance and Les Mills programs.

As a full member of the Australian Natural Therapists Association (ANTA Membership No. 29364), she maintains professional development through ongoing education to ensure her knowledge stays current with the latest developments.

Amanda demonstrates her commitment to best practice through a carefully structured consultation process. After your initial appointment, she dedicates time to research your case and create a personalised healthcare plan, which she presents during your follow-up appointment, booked separately.

Your Responsibility

It is your responsibility to check these Terms and Conditions periodically for changes.

When booking online, you must pay the booking deposit to validate your appointment. You must complete and return the initial intake forms and health agreement at least 24 hours before your appointment. If these forms are not completed in time, your consultation may be cancelled. If you cancel within 24 hours of your scheduled appointment time, you will be charged the deposit fee.

Please provide blood test results from the last 6 months (or as requested) and clear photos of your skin, eyes, tongue, and nails - taken in natural light - at least 24 hours before your appointment. Email these to admin@wellnessrewired.com.au as medium-sized or larger attachments. We use these test results and photos to fine-tune your individual health plan.

You must disclose all prescribed pharmaceutical medications during your one-on-one consultation, or complete a herb-drug interaction check with a qualified health professional before purchasing or using any products from our online store. Pharmaceutical medications can interact with nutraceuticals, potentially causing serious health effects.

You must inform us of any adverse reactions to nutraceuticals we have supplied. Please seek immediate medical attention if needed, then update us when it is safe to do so.

If you are pregnant or trying to conceive, you must inform us since not all supplements are safe during pregnancy. This information is essential for developing a safe and appropriate treatment plan.

Please join your telehealth (online) consultation 5 minutes before the scheduled time. Your session will end at the scheduled time regardless of when you join, so arriving early ensures you receive your full session. Late arrivals will still be charged the full service fee.

For telehealth consultations, you must join using a device (laptop, mobile, tablet, etc.) with a working camera. Select a quiet location with minimal background noise and good lighting to ensure the best possible consultation experience.

IMPORTANT: If you're using a mobile device (phone or tablet), you must download the Zoom app before your session.  If you're using a laptop or PC, you only need to click the Zoom Meeting Link sent to your email.

Important Information

Please note that treatment outcomes cannot be guaranteed, as each person responds differently to treatment. All results and shared treatment outcomes are individual experiences.

For nutrition services, please understand that a detailed health plan or prescription may not be presented during your initial consultation (except for acute cases). If pathology tests are ordered at your initial consultation, you'll need to book a follow-up consultation to receive your treatment plan and prescription after the test results arrive.

We do not tolerate aggressive or inappropriate behaviour, comments, or gestures. If such behaviour occurs, we will end the consultation immediately, and you will be charged the full fee.

For telehealth (online) appointments, any prescribed nutraceuticals will be sent via express post or courier at your expense.

By purchasing products from the online store, you confirm that you are of legal age in your Australian state or territory. You agree to consult a health professional before using any product and confirm you have no known allergies or contraindications to the product ingredients. If pregnant, you must consult an appropriate qualified healthcare professional, including a General Practitioner. You acknowledge that we are not responsible for any risks or health outcomes associated with the product.

Telehealth (online) consultations are conducted via Zoom. Please refer to the information above regarding your responsibilities.

In the therapeutic relationship between Clinical Nutritionist and Client, you are expected to follow and implement the recommendations in your individualised health plan for the best outcomes. If aspects of your plan are unsuitable, please raise these concerns during your follow-up consultation when the plan is presented.

Please note that some supplements may have strong tastes or unusual textures. If you have significant aversions to particular tastes, flavours, or consistencies, please inform us before purchasing products, either during consultations or via email.

The appearance and consistency of some nutraceuticals may vary with seasons, but this does not affect their therapeutic effectiveness.

The information on this website is not intended to diagnose or treat any health condition. Please refer health conditions to your chosen qualified healthcare provider. Consult your healthcare provider before starting any products from our online store. Be mindful of any personal or family allergies or contraindications that might be affected by our products or supplements.

For clients under 18, bookings must be completed by a parent or guardian, who must also be present during consultations. In Australia, the age of majority is 18 years.

Waiver of Liability

The products on this website have not been evaluated or approved by the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA). These products are food supplements only and should be used accordingly. The products and methods mentioned or recommended on this site or within our products are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any illness or disease. They do not replace professional medical advice or care.

Any commercial use of our content that competes with our business is strictly prohibited.

Payment Terms

Our booking system, via our website, accepts all major credit cards and debit cards (such as MasterCard Debit and Visa Debit) for online bookings.

Square and PayPal are third-party payment providers used on this website. All card numbers are encrypted and none of Square or PayPal internal servers and daemons can obtain plaintext card numbers. No credit card details are kept on file without your consent.

A deposit is required upon booking online to confirm your appointment. The remaining balance and any additional products will be invoiced after the service, with immediate payment options available or due within 7 days. If you have an outstanding balance and book a subsequent appointment, that appointment may be cancelled at our discretion and you will not be able to book any further services until the balance has been paid. We reserve the right to take appropriate action to collect any outstanding debts after 30 days.

When purchasing products from the online store, full payment is required before dispatch. By placing an order, you agree to these terms and conditions. While all orders are subject to availability, actual dispatch times may vary due to product availability and shipping service delays beyond our control.

Delivery of Services and Shipping

Services are delivered via Zoom (telehealth consultation), at your home residence, or in our clinic. For telehealth consultations, you'll receive an email with your Zoom link. Please join 5 minutes before your scheduled appointment time by clicking the link. You'll be placed in a virtual waiting room until your consultation begins.

You must use a device (laptop, mobile, tablet, etc.) with a working camera for the meeting. Choose a quiet location with minimal background noise and good lighting to ensure your appointment runs smoothly. NOTE: If you're using a mobile device (phone or tablet), you must download the Zoom app before your session.

If you're accessing the appointment from a laptop or PC, simply click the Zoom Meeting Link provided above.

For telehealth or at-home consultations, please provide a private, well-lit area. Unless your child is part of the scheduled consultation, we recommend arranging childcare for the duration of your appointment. Please note that if interruptions occur during the consultation, we cannot extend the session time, and the full consultation fee will still apply.

If we are unable to deliver a service for any reason, we will notify you as soon as possible and either reschedule the appointment to a mutually convenient time or provide a full refund.

Shipping costs for products prescribed during consultations are charged separately. Australia Post calculates express shipping fees based on size and weight, which will be added to your invoice. While shipping times are outside my control, products from the online store have a flat rate fee of $12.00, payable at checkout. These items may be drop-shipped from Ariya Health or Vital.ly in Queensland if we are unable to supply directly. If you haven't received your order within 7 business days, please notify us immediately. For any shipping issues, contact us as soon as possible so we can resolve the matter.

When shipping temperature-sensitive products like probiotics, an ice pack will be included. Most professional supplement companies confirm their probiotics maintain potency even when exposed to temperatures up to 30+ degrees for a limited time. As a precaution, we avoid sending these products on Thursdays or Fridays. Please note that we cannot be responsible for delivery delays of temperature-sensitive items once posted, and products cannot be replaced free of charge if delays occur.

Appointment Policies

Your appointment and well-being are very important to me. While I understand unexpected events occur, I respectfully request at least 24 hours' notice for any cancellations or rescheduling. If you cancel within 24 hours or miss your scheduled appointment, you will forfeit your deposit. To reschedule or cancel, please use the Website Client Portal - you'll find the link in your booking confirmation email. First-time portal users will need to click "sign up" when the page loads. Need assistance? Email us at admin@wellnessrewired.com.au and we'll be happy to help.

Late Cancellations/No-Shows

A late cancellation occurs when you cancel less than 24 hours before your scheduled appointment time. A no-show means you miss your appointment without canceling. Both situations will result in forfeiting your deposit. For cancellations more than 24 hours in advance, use the Website Client Portal - you'll find the link in your booking confirmation email. If you're new to the portal, click "sign up" when the page loads. Need help? Email me at admin@wellnessrewired.com.au and we'll be happy to assist.

Refund Policy & Consumer Guarantees

We do not offer refunds for change of mind on products purchased after a consultation or through our online store, so please consider carefully whether a product is right for you before purchasing. Due to their nature, digital products purchased from this website are non-refundable.

For services, refunds are not offered for cancellations within 24 hours of your appointment start time. For cancellations made 24 hours or more before your scheduled appointment, we offer a refund of your payment minus a 2.2% processing fee and $10 admin fee. To cancel, use the Website Client Portal and contact us to process your refund.

If you accidentally book the wrong appointment and wish to cancel more than 24 hours before the scheduled time, we will refund your payment minus the 2.2% processing fee and a $10 admin fee.

If a product becomes out of stock or discontinued and we cannot fulfill your order within a reasonable timeframe, we will provide a full refund and cover the 2.2% processing fee.

If you receive an incorrect product, contact us within 24 hours of delivery. Do not open the wrong item. We will send you the correct product along with a prepaid satchel bag. Use this satchel to return the unopened incorrect product within 7 days of receiving the return packaging.

If you receive a damaged item, Australia Post requires you to present both the damaged item and its packaging at a Post Office for a damage report (only the addressee can present the item). Not all Post Offices can complete damage reports - please check your local outlet or search for Post Shops and Business Hubs using Australia Post's locations tool. You may need to leave the item with Australia Post and provide supporting documentation, including proof of identity, a statutory declaration, postage receipts, item details, and the item itself.

Australia Post advises that all requests for compensation must be lodged within 6 months of posting. Please email us a copy or reference number of the damage report, along with a photo of the damaged item, so we can send replacement products. If Australia Post provides you compensation equal to or less than the cost of the replacement products, and we have already provided replacements, that compensation should be returned to us.

If the internet or power cuts out during a consultation, we will attempt to use a backup internet connection. If that fails, we will continue the consultation via phone using the contact number you provided during booking - please ensure this number is current.  If you are not satisfied with completing the consultation by phone, we will reschedule the appointment at no cost to a time that suits both parties.

If your Clinician is ill and unable to attend a scheduled consultation, they will either reschedule the appointment to a mutually convenient time or provide a full refund.

If you are ill and unable to attend a scheduled consultation, please cancel or reschedule your appointment through the Website Client Portal. You can find the portal link in your booking confirmation email.  If you're new to the portal, click "sign up" when the page loads.  Need help? Email us at admin@wellnessrewired.com.au and we'll be happy to assist.

If you have any concerns about our services, please raise them before the end of your consultation. For product-related issues, please notify us within 3 days of receipt. We genuinely want to know if you're unsatisfied so we can address your concerns and work toward a mutually acceptable solution.

We take our obligations under Australian Consumer Law seriously and welcome your feedback about any concerns. If an issue arises, our liability is limited to:

  • Replacing the goods or providing the services again; or

  • If we cannot do this within a reasonable time, paying the cost of having the goods or services supplied to you again.

To request a replacement product, please email us at admin@wellnessrewired.com.au with your reason for the request. Product replacements will be evaluated case-by-case according to our discretion and Australian Consumer Laws.

If the product is confirmed to be faulty, you are entitled to shipping cost compensation when you provide the receipt. If the product is not faulty but a replacement has been approved, you will need to pay the shipping costs - we'll send you a cost estimate beforehand.

Please note that refunds are not provided if you simply dislike the taste of a nutrient, herb, or tincture.

Herbal medicine can be dangerous if used incorrectly.  If you are unsure how to use a supplement or product, please consult with your chosen health practitioner before use.

Respectful Communication

We appreciate the time readers spend sharing ideas and giving feedback in the comments on the Wellness Rewired blog. Thank you to everyone who contributes.

To ensure comments remain useful for all readers, we will remove comments that fall into these categories:

  • Harassing comments:  While we encourage discussion and diverse viewpoints, all comments must remain respectful toward our contributors and other commenters.

  • Promotional comments:  Comments that are purely promotional will be removed.

We reserve the right to remove any comments from the site. Please keep all comments respectful and constructive.

Dispute Resolution & Jurisdiction

  • If either party has concerns about these terms, your website use, or our provision of products or services, we agree to communicate with the intention of making a genuine effort to reach a win-win solution through negotiation and discussion.

  • All information exchanged during negotiations or dispute resolution will be treated as confidential "without prejudice" communications by all parties and their representatives, unless Australian law requires otherwise. Any evidence that would normally be admissible or discoverable will remain so, regardless of its use during dispute resolution.

  • If we cannot resolve a dispute through negotiation and discussion within 14 days, we agree to proceed to mediation with an independent Australian accredited mediator. We will seek online dispute resolution or mediation by telephone if both parties are not located in Queensland, Australia.

  • The mediator will be appointed by mutual agreement between us. If we cannot agree within 21 days after the negotiation period ends, the party who initiated the dispute will request that the President of the Law Society of Queensland or a similar neutral Australian authority appoint a dispute resolution professional.

  • The costs of mediation will be shared equally between both parties.

  • We agree that neither party will commence legal action until the independent mediator determines that all possibilities for negotiation and mediation have been exhausted.

  • All parties involved in the dispute agree not to disparage each other or their associates, whether publicly or privately. They will act in good faith and avoid any conduct or communication that could reasonably interfere with another party's business or personal interests.

  • This agreement is governed by Queensland law. Regardless of where you reside, you irrevocably agree that if dispute resolution processes fail, the courts of Queensland and the Commonwealth of Australia will have exclusive jurisdiction.
